Definition: - The numbers
which can be expressed
In
the form of p/q form where P and are Natural Numbers like 2/3, 5/7 are called
Fractions.
Some Learning Points:-
Lowest term: - If in a
fraction there are no common factor is called
Lowest term.
In a p/q form pi called as
Numerator and q is called as Denominator.
Standard form:- in standard
form like as we write 4/-8 it is fraction but
Not in standard form
its standard form is -4/8.
Method to convert a number into Standard form.
1. We have 4/-8.
2. Multiply
Number & Denominator with -1.
3. We get -4/8
which is in Standard Form.
Equivalent:-
1. Here some fractions are Equal.
2. Like as 2/5 and 4/10 are Equal.
Types of Fraction:-
1. Proper Fraction:-The fraction in which denominator is greater
Than Numerator. Like
2/3.
2. Improper
Fraction:- The fraction in which Denominator is smaller
Than
Numerator. Like 5/4.
3. Mixed Fraction:- when we have a Improper Fraction then we
Divided Numerator by denominator and write
12 ½. We multiply
Denominator with 12 and add 1.
